Stayed out at Disneyland until 2 am. pacific, got home at 3 am pacific, so I didnt' get up early to run which I should have. We left, and the plan was to stop in St.George so I was going to run there but I hopped in with my uncle and came all the way home and got home at 1 in the morning, this was because I had to go to school so no run. Just a drive home from California

Good interval workout today. Tried to hold 5 min mile pace. At first it felt really easy and I wasn't struggling at all. Then at the very end I stuggled a little, but I still held up really well. The legs didn't feel good before, but felt fine during the actual workout. The cooldown was cut short because I had to go to a viewing.

Solid 6 mile run with Cody and Rob for most of it. I felt a little tired from yesterday, but was still able to run solid. The average was 7:15 or 7:20 pace, we did the first 3 in 21:55, and the last 3 in 21:25, with a 6:20 ish last mile. It was a pretty good run.

Did a 10 mile run up in Midway Utah. I honestly felt terrible and I don't know any of my mile splits, I just mapped out a 10 mile run before I left and did that. I got through it ok, I had too many stops to try to make sure I was in the right place and stuff. It was very downhill to start and then uphill into the wind coming back, and I had held back going down, but coming back felt really slow and hard. Didn't finish very hard, just made it through it.

Did an 8 mile run with some fartlek in it. Closed in a 6:47. I ran 20 minutes out, 20 fartlek, 20 run. Felt pretty darn good. Did 4 two minute fast sections, three minute recovery.. Felt nearly like mile pace. Good run

I did intervals today. Felt ok, I was about 5 minute pace for all of them, which  was 8 x 3 laps on the indoor track, which is .3 per lap. After the first couple my legs were really tired and didn't feel great..

I'll write later, but good solid race. Not exactly the time, but still good 

I was going to get in the heat that was going about 5 min pace, but backed out last second and got in the next heat. I went out fast, and was suprised as I easily moved to the front of the pack. I started getting nervous when my breathing got harder on only the 3rd lap but then I was in 2nd place and I saw everyone cheering and picked it up again. I came through the half way point at 2:32. I was in the lead too, and then I started to die. No one was passing me and I felt tired but I just kept going. On the 6th or 7th lap a kid blew past me, he ended up beating me by a solid 10 seconds. No one else was passing me but I was dying, I guess everyone else was too. I was able to hang on for a 9 second PR. I went on a 4 mile run after and my knee started giving me a littl epain so I backed out of the 4x4 which I was super bummed about. I feel like if I can develope the strength I can be decent. I need to get working though, it's crazy cause this is it, this is the last year I got. I have to start picking it up and becoming a leader.. Hopefully the miles help and I'm able to do better. 

Highlights of the meet: Ryan Andreasen taking 4th in 2:04, Caden Call in the shot, and Nick Merriman doing it all. Also Karson pulling through and Kavika. If this team works, we can suprise people. We have elite talent on this TEAM. Hopefully we can live up to the hype!!

Just a longer slower run. I went down to the trail(1.75) and I was feeling sluggish. I turned right into the wind until I hit the round about, 4.25 out. It was rough, but I didn't push too hard. Turning around with the wind at my back felt amazing. I felt so good and was running decent, probably like 7:15s, which is good for me on a longer recovery run. I just felt good was the main thing. Coaches got after us a little for messing around. I need to help others on the team get running and actually training. The Coaches are getting frustrated and we need someone to step up and as Bro Merrill said in class today: see a need, fill a need. So I need to step up for the team, even though I'm not really that kind of person. I was also involved in the messing around, I mean Fessder jumped on top of me, I had to take him down haha. but yeah.

BYU indoor Meet. Ran the mile first, the hammys were still sore, and I was a little tired still. I felt like I ran decent, my time put me as the #1 spot of the heat so I went out fast and died a little. Also had a bunch of snot in my throat/mouth that made it harder to breath during those middle laps. Then I cooled down and rolled out my legs for like an hour. They felt even better than before the mile.

I ran the 800 after warming up for another mile, and I felt pretty good. I was again the #1 seed, and my time was 2:21.65, 62 overall and 6th in my heat. I felt like I was slightly more competitive and that my legs still had a little bit left. Today and the last couple days my breathing and heart rate have been slowing me down, not my legs as much, but the legs have later in the race, but the main thing is that as I get 400-1200m into the race I need to get to the point where I can feel relaxed more in my breathing. Maybe I'm just crazy. After cheering for some teamates in the 800, I went out and did a 4 mile run. I was planning on just cooling down, but then I wanted to go explore BYU. I felt way good on my run. I ran past the track, the state championship track, and then up the hill to the MTC. Felt great, up the hill I felt like I was getting the heart rate up. Coming back down I felt like I had to nearly sprint to feel like I was working hard. I just felt pretty darn good. Hopefully that's a sign of good things to come.

Did intervals. We did this 4 lap, 3, 3 lap on the indoor track with 60 seconds recovery in between. That = roughly a total mile. I ran the first set of that in 5:03.5 and the second set in 5:28. My coach had me back off a little bit on the second one. I felt pretty good about the first one and the second one was still pretty good, but hopefully I can put it together in a race. For the first one I started out slow and then picked it up, which I may try in a race. After, felt a little beat up, had some aches and pains so I only ran 2.5, Then ellipticaled for 9:30ish for another mile then ran a .5 mile on the track. Still didn't feel great on the day.

Drove down to the Olympic Oval. Had a decent race, I went out at a 71, which felt not too bad, then I started to relax mentally and tighten up physically, so then I ran an 80, and then a rough third 83, and then I finished a little faster at a 77, put I was told I had tightened up. Had someone film me as I ran part of it, I look like a complete goofball trying to run.. but that's ok, I'm getting a little better and I'm doing my best to try to stay loose. Ran 2 miles after and I felt pretty good. A PR is a PR, especially when it is a 5 second PR.

Very little mileage, but today I accomplished what I wanted to accomplish. I wanted to have a good race before simplot in order to increase my confidence. I wish I could have ran more today, but it was a good effort and I felt great. A PR of 7 seconds is always good, especially in the 800. I hope I can have a big mile PR at simplot. And then re-up the milage. Disappointing Mileage this week, but maybe it'll be good for the body because I've had very little sleep this week and have had some nagging aches and pains.

Dates 19, 20th are supposed to be moved back, so this is actually thursday's day. I think I just did 5, no cross training.... No I did the Fessder run, that's right. I went with fessder and Andreasen, weaved through every neighborhood in Syracuse, and they claimed it was 6.6, but I got through it in like 45 minutes, which we weren't going that fast. They did really kick it at the end, I was tired for some reason and just wasn't feeling that big of a kick.. I'm counting it as 6, with some shake out biking.

Did roughly 11.9 miles in 1:32 minutes, felt very slow and had some cramping issues on the way back. Had too many brief stops as a result of this cramping and overall tiredness, but I barely got through it. I did some 200 m strides after, and they felt good, with each one feeling/hurting similarly to a race.

Went out fairly easy, Did a 2.5ish mile farlek. Was doing 2 minute intervals hard, 2 off. Felt good, went out in like 26:40, which is pretty good. Finished in like 55:30ish, with a really slow cool down, so more like 55 flat if I went hard on the finish. Pretty good, 52:30 is 7 minute pace, 60:00 is 8 minute pace, so pretty good I guess. Did the slow stuff slow. Good to see some people actually going on  a run..

7.5 + 400 warm up before and strides after. Kept it pretty easy, didn't go very hard. Still, a very solid run and I can feel it in my legs. Hopefully I feel fresh for tomorrow. Feel like I've got tired legs, but hopefully I can overcome them. Did it in like 55:50 for the 7.5, and felt pretty good. Closed in a 7:20, so not too hard, and didn't have a huge influence on time.

Felt great today. I ran the first 6 miles on the road and it took roughly 45 minutes. Then I hit the dirt and I did a 7 minute mile, a 7, a 7:20 and then finished in a 7. I felt great about it, and it was the perfect long run for me. I'm happy with it, finished in a 1:13 total.

Crappy, wind killed, felt tired. It stinks. I ran 12:19 in the two mile, and I still don't feel good about that but. I need more mileage I think still. We had 3 races this week so that killed my mileage, and made my body feel awful. Hopefully over spring break I can rack the mileage up a little

Legs felt tired before I even started. Was on my feet all day at Physical Therapy, and had to wake up early for that. Did a mile warm up down to the trail. Tried to do a 5 mile tempo, First mile 6:27, happy with that, I was tired though. Second mile 7 flat, feeling tired, quick break, next .5 in 3:31, I was also going out into the wind and that killed me. Long break, Turn around start heading back, took a quick break because I started cramping, then first .5 3:15, so 6:45 total mile, 4th mile 6:50, Last mile was going pretty good until I was in the last .25. I passed the bench, went down the hill and my chest tightened up, I couldn't breathe, I thought I was having a heart attack or something haha. So took a quick break and just tried to finish. 7:04 last mile, while dying. Then mile cool down. Not a great day, too many breaks, but I need to work on tempos. I think I just don't have that strength, I never have, and tempos will help my 5ks and two miles.

ZGriff is back, due to peer pressure. Just been super busy, but what I've done is really drop the milage and focus on the races these last couplle of weeks. I feel like I haven't done enough hard workouts, but I've just got to rely on all those dual meets where I ran the 1600, 800 and 4x4 and count on that strength. I ran 2:09.61 on Friday, but I went out in a 62, had a solid third 200 and took the lead and just faded the last 200. Maybe that was because I was alone, maybe because I was doubting myself thinking I may have kicked to early, maybe I just died. But the goal for region is to hang on those last 200 while running a similar race the first 600. If I can do that, look for another couple seconds coming off that time. Hopefully. But today was a fantastic day. I wanted to do a little bit of a longer run, but make it super easy. Going out I was pretty much whisteling? and skipping, enjoying an easy long run. Coming back I just felt good, I felt fast. I didn't go that fast, I averaged 7:34 for the total run, with like 7:20ish, 7:25 coming back, but the good news is that my legs felt amazing. No pain like usual, no feeling like I was dying the last mile, I just felt solid. How I wish I could have ran miles earlier in my Syracuse High Career. XC would be different, Track would be a heck of a lot different. Oh well though, I'll just have to like beat Mary Cain mono e? mono and that will make up for it. But then I did some strides at Jensen Park(Where I started running) and I felt good. I felt super loose and super fast. Plus everyone there was just looking at me and I felt stinkin legit. Almost too legit. Today and yesterday were two I love running days, that's for sure.

Easy Run with Thomas, probably like 7:25 ish, I ran 29:30 for 4 miles, with ridiculous breaks because I was supposed to run with Thomas, he stopped to go to the bathroom, started throwing up, so I just finished. Then did the loop at the school. After the Loop I stopped to talk to the Legend our coach. It was cool, I'm going to miss that guy if this really is his last year. He'll for sure not be here when I get back, so that'll be weird. He's a great coach, I let him down that's for sure. But today was just a day to really get back into running. This week I'm not looking for any hard training, just consistant training, so that's the key.

5 ish miles, like with the cool-down on the elliptical. I thought this run was going to be testy because I ate mexican food before but I got through it fine. My stomach has possibly finally become iron..haha I ran the first couple miles easy at 7:30 pace, legs felt tight, I think because of the two long car rides. But finished solid, 1.5 faster at the end. I did 6:30 pace for .5 miles, then went down to 6 then faster for the end. It felt good suprisingly

Some slow intervals today... 2 miles warm-up, cool-down, then 3 miles ish in intervals. Felt good to get the old deep quad burn/ache instead of the intense pain of track. The deep ache, I don't know which one is worse. But first mile, I thought the workout was 4 mile repeats, so I went out hard, but not too hard. I thought I would run somewhere around 6 minutes, 6:15, but I ended up running a 5:45 mile. Manchild pulled out a 5:02, I believe in the Manchild. He's going to be really fast and elite, THIS YEAR. That's right, an elite runner for the state of Utah. Next year Elite national runner. He's a champ, and he believes in himself and expects greatness. I believe. Then I ran 2:50, 2:55, 2:50, 800s which felt super duper easy, I was just trying to pull Bella on. Well, I guess not super duper easy, but it felt manageable and if we did a couple more I think I could have dropped down into the 2:40s, but maybe not because wo mei you(I don't have) any strength.  Then a 3:50 800, with the mile cool-down easy, with an intense race finish just for fun haha.

Stinking amazing run up farmington canyon. If you ever have any free time, I highly recommend it as a run. It's super pretty and fun.Uphill, but not incredibly steep, but take it easy. It's sick
